The Event of Organizing a Local Training Programme on Mercury Mass Flow Development for Regional Bali and Nusa Tenggara was held in Mercure Kuta Hotel in Bali, Indonesia on 1‐2 March 2023.
The local training workshop is hosted by the Director for Hazardous Substances Management, Directorate General for Solid Waste, Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Substances Management, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Republic of Indonesia (MOEF).
The training workshop is organized by the UNEP Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (UNEP ROAP) with the support and contribution of the Basel and Stockholm Convention on Regional Centre for Southeast Asia in Indonesia (BSCRC‐SEA).
The training was held as a follow‐up to the Regional Training of Trainer on Mercury Mass Flow
Development held in Jakarta, Indonesia last 14‐16 November 2022.
The two‐day training aims at deepening the knowledge of:
a. Disseminate information to local governments regarding the mass flow of mercury;
b. Exchange of information related to data in the energy sector and ASGM in each
region/province;
c. Increase local government awareness and understanding regarding mercury emissions and
releases and their potential emissions and releases;
d. Increase knowledge and skills in arranging mass flow of Mercury in the region.
