The Second Project Steering Committee Meeting for the Full-Size Project: “Reducing Uses and Releases of Chemicals of Concern, Including POPs, in The Textile Sector” (GEF ID 10523) was held on 16 February 2023 virtually through the Cisco Webex platform. The meeting was co-organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Basel and Stockholm Conventions Regional Centre for Southeast Asia (BSCRC-SEA).
The Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting discussed the 2023 Annual Work Plan & Budget, TOR Consultants, as well as other related documents for related to project implementation in the textile sector in certain countries (Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan and Viet Nam).
The meeting was attended by the Project Steering Committee (PSC) members from UNEP, BSCRC-SEA, the National Resources Defence Council (NRDC), Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan and Vietnam with a total of 21 participants.
